The inclusion rate for Rhodimet™ NP 99 in feed varies from 250 g to 15 kg per ton. Rhodimet™ use mainly depends on the batch size in respect to the size of the mixer. The scale range should be calculated accordingly and should take into account any other product using the same scaling system.
- To feed a micro-ingredient scale controlled by the plant's central computer, Adisseo recommends using an intermediate hopper of a low capacity screw (Ø 100 mm maximum) with two speeds.
- Micro-systems, where the micro-ingredients are weighted sequentially on a precision scale (e.g. Beta Raven, Alfra), can be equipped with their own computer, which reliably automates micro-ingredient use with a single interface towards and from the plant's central computer.

Precautions
So far and to the actual knowledge of Adisseo, no technological incompatibility of Rhodimet™ NP 99 with any other feed ingredient has been observed. However, DL-methionine is an organic powder that is sensitive to static electricity. In consequence, it should not be stored or transferred in contact with synthetic materials like polyester, PVC or fiberglass. Additionally, all storage and handling equipment should be properly grounded. Tanks or silos for DL-methionine should be equipped with an explosion vent.
