Transfer
Rhodimet AT 88 should be transferred from tank to mixer as
follows:
- Aspiration by a pipe (Ø 30-50 mm) connected to the bottom
of the tank
- Volumetric transfer by gear pump with pressure relief valve :
· Flow rate 1 to 3 m3 /h depending on mixer size
and inclusion rate
- Back-up
· Stainless steel pipe (Ø 15 or 25 mm)
· Swing check valve
· Control pressure gauge (0 to 16 bars)
· Shut off valve (Ø 15 mm)
Depending on the weather conditions, pipes should be insulated or
heated.
Batching
The inclusion rate for Rhodimet AT 88 depends a great deal
on the batch or mixer size (for example 2-6 tons) and the receipt
respectively the compound feed which is produced. The quantity,
therefore, may vary between 200 g and 22 kg per batch (0.16 - 17.89
liters). The equipment for the dosing of Rhodimet AT 88 depends,
therefore, on the specific conditions. An example of a "standard
volumetric dosing system," is described below. The following
components are needed:
- Solenoid actuated ball valve
- Metering system, including :
· a shut off valve (Ø 25mm)
· a strainer (Ø 25mm)
· an electromagnetic flow meter (recommended
for reliable and accurate metering)
(a mass flow meter may also be used)
- The flow meter should be placed below the injection point. This
will prevent the formation of air bubbles
in the meter.
