The Vitamin Premix Clinic or VPC has hosted over 900 customers
from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe since its inception
in 1987.
The VPC is a combination of seminars, discussions and on-site
lab demonstrations of issues and situations that can affect
premix quality. The VPC is designed for all personnel who
wish to learn more about ingredients and premixes.
It has been attended by nutritionists, purchasing agents,
and representatives from sales, marketing, production, quality
assurance and general management.
The VPC offers a unique environment to examine vitamins and
premixes. It promotes active participation in the laboratory
where attendees perform a series of "hands on" demonstrations
and exercises.
The lab is equipped with microscopes, scales, video-enhanced
computers, particle segregation devices and a variety of vitamin
samples from around the world. Concepts that are discussed
include premix homogeneity and ingredient separation, vitamin
stability and production issues that can affect stability,
and the importance of developing good sampling techniques.
